How Catherine first ruined my life [x]
When she first stepped into the TARDIS all dressed up in her wedding gown and having her sassy attitude with the Doctor, it was definitely something we hadn’t seen in the new series. Who was this ginger haired woman being all rude to the Doctor? He doesn’t even want her there to begin with. Yet here they are. Their lives have collided for a reason that, we as the audience, have no idea what for. In the beginning, Donna is perceived to be loud, obnoxious, and certainly not someone who would be interested in traveling in time and space. Yet when we get to the core of the episode we see her for who she really is: an insecure woman who doesn’t have a life of her own and she covers up all her denial with her boisterous attitude. Catherine’s acting in this one scene touched my heart for Donna’s character. Her heart is broken. All she thought she knew turned out to be a complete lie. Who is she now? Does she even know? Throughout this entire episode, we see a character who in the end, turns out to an equal to the Doctor. A best mate. Then she comes back even after turning the Doctor down the first time. She comes back and they collide again. Always meant to be. Catherine’s acting as Donna stole my heart when she first appeared on my screen.
